We have been using ProIV e-mail in several functions for several years. We just upgraded the client 6.2.59.0.
The e-mail appears to work as it should and the functions complete processing, but we are getting an Runtime error (see attachment). It appears to be on the "Send()" method in the e-mail active X control. I have checked the ActiveX gallery and the local machine folder and everything seems to be in place. I have re-genned all of the functions that use the control but we still get the error. It seems to be sporadic sometimes it will give the error and other times it will work just fine. Any ideas in solving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Run time error with ProIV E-mail

Sort On Column Click
17 June 2011 - 02:06 PM
We have been having issues with list box property of SortOnColumnClick. There is a checkbox on the List tab in the properties box, but after you check the box PROIV will clear the setting. It doesn't always go away immediately; it is actually a random length of time before it goes away.
I have attempted to set the property programmatically as follows:
KeyList.SortOnColumnClick = TRUE
but PROIV gives me the following error:
"767 - WARNING: %1 UNSUPPORTED PROPERTY - %2 OBJECT %3, LOGIC %4, %5"
Has anyone had this issue?
We are running 6.2.52 in PROIV.

Menu Security System
01 August 2007 - 06:15 PM
We are using a ProIV built menu "Security Menu Driver". We are having issues with the operator login file not clearing when the user logs out of the system. The files are growing too large for the system. We contacted ProIV but their response was that the login file didn't clear itself automatically. It has been in the past when the user logged out and just recently stopped working correctly.
Additionally we have found that now when a user logs into the system and types in an incorrect user ID or and incorrect password they do not get an error message. It moves the cursor back to the log in ID and just sits there. A couple of users have reported being thrown out of the system completely when incorrect login information has been entered.
Is anyone out there using this system that might have some ideas?

Limiting user input in a combo box
11 April 2006 - 07:48 PM
I have a combo box that I limit list choices from a table based on previously entered information. The desired choices appear in the combo box list and all looks well until the user enters a choice directly from the keyboard instead of using the mouse. It allows them to enter a choice even though the choice is not in the list. If it is a valid choice in the table it allows the input even though it has been filtered out of the list.
I have been able to force the user to use the mouse to select from the list and not be able to type directly into the combo box, but for obvious reasons this is not the most desirable solution.
I have code in the selection cycle of the combo box that limits the list of choices and I could maintain another identical set of code to check input if the user typed directly into the combo box, but that would mean maintaining 2 sets of code to do the same thing. Also not the most desireable solution.
Does anyone know an easy way to limit the user input to only valid choices in a list?

Combo Box
10 January 2006 - 06:05 PM
I have used combo boxes in VIP before but always using data from a file.
Now I have a need to limit the input of the user to just a few select choices. I really did not want to create a file just for a few items. I would like to be able to populate the data from a list. I thought that I should be able to use a Selection Cycle (array), but have not been able to figure out just how it works. I havs searched the ProIV manuals but without success as to how to get the data into this Combo Box for selection.
Has anyone had any success with this before and if so how??
