In Topic: PROIV calling Web services

29 October 2013 - 03:32 PM

We use web services extensively and have written our own SSO which lets us call web services from other applications. These include Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. We have the SSO working with both Pro-IV Version 6.2 and Pro-IV Version 7.1.

In Topic: Process Terminating Due To Rollback Failure

After extensive testing here I would agree that there had to have been a communication interuption for this to occur. We have been able to duplicate the error mesasges.

Thanks for the feedback.

In Topic: Process Terminating Due To Rollback Failure

23 February 2010 - 02:24 PM

The "Process terminating" message occurs when ProIV asks the DBMS to roll back the current transaction and the DBMS says it couldn't.
ProIV exits/aborts because that is of course a serious situation for data integrity.
ProIV is presumably requesting a rollback because of whatever the 366 error really was.

Not sure what possible causes would be in SQL/Server, sorry.

Thanks Richard. Do you know what could cause that error with Oracle? I wonder could it be a case of the DBMS being too busy to process the request?

In Topic: Any Version 6.2.27 in Production?

25 September 2009 - 11:15 PM

Let's expand this question to include the new 64 bit 6.2.28 Windows PROIV version. Any in production? If not in production but you are testing it, how is the testing going?

Lew

Hi Lew,

We have the new 64Bit Windows Kernel (6.2.28) in production now with SQL Server 2005 as the backend database (also 64Bit). We have not encountered any major issues with the new kernel.

Thanks Ross and Jeff. Are any of your installs running SQL Server?
