File Browser

25 October 2011 - 03:41 PM

Hi

Anyone using Version 7 may already know this - but for new users beware that the File Browser utility within Developer (VIP) includes a limit on the number of records shown to assist with performance. This is dictated by &#@VIPLIMIT which in the tabbed version I create appears in Logic 12. Don't panic when you see that all the data is not shown. It's just been deselected.

Cheers

Tab Stops

07 July 2010 - 08:57 AM

Got a function where tab stops don't operate if accessed as a user. Whereas if VIP is called, then immediately exited and the function accessed, the tab stops work as expected. Is there a property/switch/ini flag to set these on/off?

Not seen this before - so maybe it's something I'm doing/not doing.

Set Enable field Attributes on in the View/Options - but didn't make any difference even after logoff/logon.

Escrow Agreements

11 May 2010 - 01:40 PM

Hi

My lawyer has drawn a blank on Escrow agreement examples. Since these are agreements between one company and another (usually) it's not likely that they are in the public domain.

I'm hoping that some of the members of this site that have required one would be happy to supply me with an example (names and amounts removed).

Thanks in advance

Logical Database Names

05 December 2007 - 10:57 AM

Set up a logical database name in an ini file called %Docs%. The ini file is referenced in the Pro4.ini file using INIPATH

The following works perfectly

$TEXTFILE = "%Docs%" + "\" + $DOCNAME
ALIAS("profile",$TEXTFILE)

and the contents of the file are displayed correctly, as expected.

So why doesn't the following work?

#PATHEXISTS = Client.GetPath("%Docs%", $PATH)

The return value is 674 indicating that the database name is not in the PIV's application definition file
And $PATH is empty
