Retrieving piv name
30 August 2010 - 01:23 PM
Is there a pre-defined environment variable I can reference that will tell me the .piv that is running? I am building a logging mechanism for imports/exports and would like to store the piv. I know I can add an environment variable to the piv, set this and then reference it but wondered if there was already something in place to give me this information.
Combo box automatically re-launching
18 May 2010 - 05:14 PM
I have a situation where I window on a field to launch a combo box and without selecting an item I cancel out. This results in the combo box executing a second time. I was expecting the combo box to close and to be positioned on the launch field.
Trace logic shows that on cancel, the combo box closes, before field logic executes and then the combo box launches automatically without a user request.
It is the first entry field on the screen with all the previous fields being display only. No files are read from this field.
I am using version 5.5 revision 556 and client 6.1.64 on Windows NT.
I welcome any suggestions as to the reason behind this or for a workaround.

Image Sizing
24 March 2004 - 01:48 PM
Hi,
I’m displaying a bitmap image on screen as an icon. It’s simply a company logo and part of a screen format.
If I enlarge the font, using the toolbar menu item, my text gets bigger but the image remains the same size. Reducing the font size results in no change to the image.
I’m using version 4, release 5.1.4.
Is there any way of ensuring that when the font size changes the image will also increase/decrease proportionately?
Regards,
Anthony

Date Calculation
05 November 2003 - 12:18 PM
Hi,
I need to be able to return the number of months that have elapsed between two dates. I'd appreciate sample code anyone might have which will do the trick for me.
The examples I have and their expected results are:
01/01/2001 to 31/01/2001 should return 1
01/01/2001 to 31/01/2002 should return 13
02/01/2001 to 01/02/2002 should return 1
02/01/2001 to 01/01/2002 should return 12
I'm using PRO-IV version 4 rev 514.
Regards,
Anthony

Error in opening file (10099)
07 January 2002 - 05:00 PM
Looking for ideas on possible causes of error :
054 - ERROR IN OPENING FILE - xxxxxx (10099)
I've run a set of functions on a test environment and then when running the same set of functions on the live environment the error occurred. I went back to backup, copied the offending file from the test environment over to the live and ran the set of functions again. The error re-occurred but on the next logical file.
I'd appreciate any pointers as to where the problem could lie.
