Is there a way to change settings that are set up inj the local proiv.ini file after you have already started running proiv. I want to know if it is possible to change the report editor setting during a session.
ie:
ReportEditor=C:\...\IEXPLORE.exe
ReportFileType=txt
to
ReportEditor=C:\...\wordpad.exe
ReportFileType=txt

Automatic Superlayer Regen
14 March 2003 - 06:33 PM
I'm trying to find a way to automatically regen a queue of functions created upon exit of the function that creates the queue. Right now it creates the queue and then I have to go to SLREGEQS and regen. I'm looking for a way to not have to take this step so I can eliminate the retyping. Has anyone tried to do something like this or know how?

SQL with SEL-ONLY in superlayer functions
20 January 2003 - 10:05 PM
In a superlayer function where you are dealing with an oracle table and you do not use an sql command to select records(using a command inside a SQL ENDSQL block) how does superlayer get the records. Is there anyway to see the sql command that is run to select records?

7character file naming errors
20 May 2002 - 01:17 PM
Howdy
We have recently noticed a bug in the file naming for superlayer in 4.6. If you a an 8 character file such as TESTFILE, the system will not allow you to enter another 8 character file with the same 7 characters such as TESTFILD. This is not a problem, however if you add a 7 character file name such as TESTFIL the system will allow it. We found this when we tried to gen something with an alternate and it failed because the alternate was already used by the 8 character file. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

Problem with Combobox display in Paging
09 April 2002 - 04:52 PM
I have experienced a bug in the display of comboboxes in GUI for 4.6. On a paging screen if a combobox does not have N in the attributes it does not display on screen entry. This bug only occurs however with Windows 2000. We have tried the same function on the same windows GUI client on PC's here running NT, '95, and 2000 and 200 is the only one which displays the bug. Does anyone have any experience with this or no of a solution that does not involve modifying code or installing a different OS?
