In Topic: Cannot open function "Unknown Control ID!"

22 January 2015 - 10:31 PM

Hi. I found an old email from PROIV support suggesting I run regsvr32<file>.ocx

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to do this?

Does anyone know what exactly is meant by <file>?

Also - I took a snapshot of my screen and can't seem to attach it to this...

In Topic: Forced Help On in Version 7

11 February 2014 - 02:48 PM

Hi Matthews,

I saw that and tested it but it resets to off when I log out of session. I need it to be on permanently for my users and they can't go in development, hit tools etc. I am assuming there is a way to do this but I just don't see it. Am I still missing something?

Thank You, Amy

In Topic: Proiv Version 7 & new change management tool

05 June 2012 - 06:03 PM

Hi there. I am considering upgrading from version 5, through 6 to version 7. I have been using Superlayer and version 5 for years although I know it is no longer supported. My big concern is that I am not sure what the advantage will be. My customers were thrilled about the option to email from PROIV but that feature has not been quoted to us yet. As of now, it seems like a fairly lot of money to have proiv do the migration and to buy the licences and I am not sure what we are going to gain from the upgrade. I also am concerned that I will not be able to easily maintain my system if I need to learn a new change management tool.... whatever that is!

So my question to Darren and Kate is - assuming you completed the conversion to Version 7, are you happy with the new version? Are your users happy as well?

Thanks for your input!

In Topic: PROIV Service Manager fails after Windows updates

Amy,

We have had limited success killing the PROIV client process on the PC. This does not always work and sometimes locked records are not released but it is an option.
Lew

Hi Lewis - hate to admit this but I am confused... are you talking about killing the PROIV client through the Service Manager or do you do it another way? Thanks for your help....
