Hi all
A couple of years back I mentioned (on this very forum) that I had a beginner level document explaining how PROIV & ORACLE work together.
Sadly, during an over zealous hard disk clean-up, I deleted it.
I emailed the document to a few people on this forum - any chance someone out there may still have it ?
If so, please let me know.
Cheers
Pete

04 June 2001 - 04:20 AM
I know that I'm supposed to be one of the experts but...
Did anyone ever figure out why some functions work with a UMSG but don't work without one.. ?
See ya.

ITERATION COUNT
30 September 2000 - 06:44 AM
I've just been going thru the threads on iteration count.
Don't put a number in there - put a numeric variable.
Each time PROIV executes an iteration of the LS, the numeric
variable is incremented. Iteration count is not intended to
commit for you but to keep a counter for you. You still
need to put code in there to do the commit.

Bangkok Knowledge Expansion

I noticed the stuff that you guys want to do with the knowledge base and I wholeheartedly agree with it.
Out here in Thailand, I have been holding 'PROIV New Technology Workshops'. This is a 5 day hands-on workshop at which you can learn all about PROIV4.6, Javasuite and WebAccess.
I'd like to run a 'special' for the robdon visitors & their friends. I'm aiming this at the PROIV contractor world but obviously it is not exclusive to contractors.
You can bring your own application and we'll web-enable it during the course OR you can use our training app.
Here's the deal:
5 days of hands-on training(PROIV 4.6, Javasuite, WebAccess)
1 PROIV 4.6 single-user Developer license with 2 months support from the PROIV Thailand Help desk.
1 PROIV Javasuite single user license with 2 months support from the PROIV Thailand Help desk.
1 Evaluation copy of PROIV WebAccess
Price per person $1200 US
Date 17th-21st July 2000
After the first 2 months of support, the standard support charge will be applied for the PROIV license if required.
Our policy is to enrol no more than 12 people in any PROIV course.
The aim is to get you guys equipped with both knowledge and to become legitimate PROIV customers at a low entry price.
Accomodation can also be arranged and our local hotel charges 1400Bhat/$45 Us per night.
Please contact Peter Davies and PROIV Thailand if you are interested.
Apologies to Rob if he thinks this isn't the correct medium for offering this course.
