Hello all:
The company I work for uses Glovia-- I'm one of the users, not a developer.
Some of the data-entry tasks my department is responsible for are quite repetitive and could be automated to a large degree. I've done some thinking into how I might do that: I've considered using a screen-scraping approach through a telnet session, but it seems like using a COM instance of the client might be simpler and more reliable.
The problem is, I'm having trouble getting started. I thought I'd use VB to play around with at first-- I've embedded the ProIVClient OCX into a VB form, but from there I can't even guess what syntax to use to make the control connect to the server, much less receive & send data.
Can anyone give me a nudge in the right direction or point me to some documentation on the use of this control?
