Hi,
We have installed V7 in testing environment and exported security using V6 Non source export utility. When we import in V7, some of group details (numerous operator defs) are missing. The import doesn't gave error however missing data. Does anyone experienced this issue? Is there any other way to copy these details (copying PRO file).
Thanks in advance..

Page Mode Reports in Native Proiv
31 January 2008 - 12:52 AM
Hi Guys,
I am adding new fields for one of my existing Page mode report(Function type - D) of length 56 and width 132. After my modification the report width would be 350. But unfortunately when I ran the report it is just showing only 231 characters
.
Any guess... what could be the problem, though I increased page width beyond 350 in Document Attributes window.
Thanks
Sudhakar

Encryption

Hi,
I am adding a record (new operator id) in ‘logonf’ proisam file through an update function.
Eg – @COD = ‘DIV’
@OPRID = ‘SUD’
@LPWD1 = @OPRID
And rest of the fields through a standard user id record.
As @LPWD1 is an encrypted field, ProIV storing the value in this field as like – ÙUD
First character is encrypted.
When I try to Login to ProIV through above operator Id, SUD and password SUD, system denied with error message Invalid password.
But when I change password using $OPR, the password is not getting encrypted and able to login to system. I also get confirmed through report function on LOGONF file.
How ProIV is treating same file in two ways?
Any advices…?
Thanks in advance
Sudhakar

Companies / Employers

Hi Guys,
We, people working on Proiv (In India) are facing difficulty in changing companies as we are not aware of all companies, that are using Proiv
.
So, i got an idea, why can't we list out the companies or employers that are using Proiv with web address; so that people can contact easily to them when they required.
Companies that are using Proiv in India (As per i know)
1. TCIL Bell South Ltd. (www.tbladm.com)
2. Escosoft (No idea, still they are using it or not)
3. First Apex (www.firstapex.com)
4. Dell (www.dell.com)
Couple of posts i saw in this website from companies like -
5. Ebix (www.ebix.com)
6. Birla soft (www.birlasoft.com)
Thanks,
Sudhakar
