My guess is you have a screen which isn't displaying any records and instead of displaying nothing you want to show the user that the screen (report) didn't find anything. Is this true?
If so, you need to know before you display the screen if there are any records to display. To do this, try to read one record from the file before you try to display the results, if you don't find a record then you can display different information to the user based upon this. If you do find a record, then display the screen as normal.
Hope this is what you're after. If not, can you try to explain your problem further.

It's a publicity thing.
It's a bug in the wiki/forum. I've told Rob D about this, but according to him he writes 100% bug free code and is blaming someone else for the problem. Typical!
(I bet he posts the real reason within about 1 hour)

If you have the bootstrap file def you can set @FREV to blank on FUNCTDEF.
Then, when you try to run the function it will autogen.
Don't do this with globals though.

Thankyou for you insightful response. There is so much wrong with your argument that I could spend all night tearing it down and to be frank, I'd enjoy doing it.
However, others have covered the main points and thanks to them I now have time to invite Mai Li around tonight and she's promised to love me long time for only 10 dollar.
Peace.
