Trapping 'OFF'
25 March 2004 - 10:20 PM
I want to be able to record logon times for my users. I am able to record data into a statistics table when they logon.
If they are timed out, I can update the statistics table with the logoff information using the Timeout function.
However, if a user types "OFF" at a menu, I cannot figure out how I can update my statistics from within the same logon session. I cannot replace the OFF command, as it seems to be built into the kernel, and is not a separate function (V4.6).
Any suggestions?

Looking for Client-side Text Processing
09 May 2001 - 02:07 AM
A customer is frustrated with the limited text processing capability in PRO-IV, using the traditional NOTES-type file with auto-sequenced line numbers.
Does anyone have any solutions that might send an existing file (set of records) out to a Windows application, such as Wordpad, allowing for text entry and editing, and then sending the file back into the PRO-IV application? This file might typically be 15 - 30 lines of text.
The customer is running PRO-IV 4.6 on UNIX.
Thanks.

Splitting PRO-IV and ORACLE Across Two Systems
05 March 2001 - 02:05 PM
Does anyone have any experience isolating ORACLE on one production server and PRO-IV on another? This would be in a UNIX environment. What are the pro's and con's of this architecture?
