We have been notified by Northgate of a policy change for old versions of PROIV.
The choice is apparently
1) upgrade to V7
2) pay a large increase to have minimum support on the old version
Has anyone else encountered this .... ?
Thanks.

Hi
Does anyone know of a function that would output file defs into an XML/HTML format for e.g. presentation in Microsoft Help format...?
Thanks

Hi
Our client is reporting thread exceptions at many points in our application (see attached)
Their IT department say their network is working fine
Would anyone have suggestions on things to check please?
Thanks

Oracle error ORA-12516
10 April 2007 - 08:45 AM
Hi
Our users are getting Oracle error ORA-12516 while testing a new ProIV screen (see attached).
I looked up Oracle error ORA-12516 and some of the comments on it are as follows
"You are saturating your available connections.
Increase in your instance the parameters: "sessions" and "processes" (if
you increase sessions then processes should autoincrease accordingly)."
"Check to make sure that the service handlers (e.g. dispatchers)
for the given SERVICE_NAME are registered with the listener, are accepting
connections, and that they are properly configured to support the desired
protocols."
Is it definitely an Oracle problem or could something in Proiv be causing it?
Thanks

Combobox
01 February 2007 - 04:29 PM
Hi
I am having a problem with COMBOBOX_DD
- the Read Field of my table is specified as a combobox
- when focus moves to the Read Field (having pre-loaded the table key in earlier logic) it launches the combobox automatically with an empty list (without clicking the down arrow)
- if I do not preload the table key, the combobox (as desired) does not launch until clicked and then it displays the correct populated list
- the combobox list is a global function, I have put UMSGs in it and it is not executing when the empty list displays
Am I missing something simple?
At this stage I am tempted to leave it and hope the fairies fix it overnight....
