Can you read a trace file?

31 May 2006 - 07:23 PM

Attached is a trace file generated right before my Pro32srv process abnormally ended.

Event ID: 7031

The PROIV NT Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

This has been occurring every day a couple of times. I'm new to Pro-IV on windows. I did trace the error anc believe I have attached the trace file.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, any tips on how to read the trace files would be appreciated (teach the man to fish...).

My pro-iv kernel version is 4.6 rev 5.3.4 (glovia) on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 1.

COMBOBOX Gray

24 May 2006 - 08:18 PM

COMBOBOX turns gray (contents of field) once the user enters the paging area.

Is there anyway to change this color so it doesn't turn gray (client version 2.0 build 432 - glovia)?

PROIV NT Server service terminated unexpectedly

18 May 2006 - 01:03 PM

From the event viewer on Windows 2003 Server:

Event ID: 7034
Source: Service Control Manager

The PROIV NT Server service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).

Pro-IV version 4.6r534.

I just upgraded to this new kernel. It ran fine for about 48 hours, then this unexpected crash.

Any ideas on what to look for would be appreciated. The kernel is from Glovia.

ASCII Code for hotkey

04 October 2005 - 10:32 PM

Attempting to write a macro using WRQ's Reflection software to run a pro-iv screen which requires the user to enter Alt + M to open a window.

How can I get the ASCII code pro-iv is expecting for this hotkey combination so I can program the macro?

Bus & Task scalability

30 June 2005 - 06:20 PM

(Glovia user) I am using bus and task with the SMS Shop Floor Data Collection application.

I am considering using it with another third party solution to do inventory location to location transfers, etc.

1. Do you have a simple sample piece of java (sun) code to call a bus and task task that I could use as an illustration to a java developer?

2. Will bus and task scale up for 1,000 transactions per hour? 2,000? 3,000? In other words, does it scale well or should I not consider adding more task calls.

Any help would be appreciated.
