ProIV Tree Control

28 September 2011 - 02:42 PM

I'm using the proiv tree control in an app we're building. I can successfully build and display the tree, expand all, contract all, use the events and right click menu with no issues. But when I try to use some of the other methods it can't get them to work. I'm not sure if I'm just not executing them in the right place or I'm not mapping the correct parameters. Instead of the ExpandAll method, I would prefer to just expand a portion for the tree, but when I use Expand and supply the sequence number of the tree item nothing happens. I also tried using SelectItem before it, just to ensure I was on the right tree item, but still nothing. The documentation is so cryptic, and the paramentes don't seem to be consistant. For Expand it wants TreeItem, for SelectItem it want Handle. To me they should both want the same parameter. But they are both nummeric, so I've just used the same numeric scratch variable in their maps.

Has anyone used these methods sucessfully that can help?

Import Oracle Table Def's?

01 August 2007 - 01:42 PM

Does anyone know if it's possible to import oracle table defs into proiv? We have a DB with 72 tables that we need to access and we're hoping we won't have to enter the files defs manually. If anyone has any ideas, tips, tricks, etc. it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

ProIV Btrieve

29 June 2005 - 05:55 PM

We are trying to set up a ProIV 4.6 Windows 2000 environment using Btrieve for a few of the larger files too big for PRO-ISAM. We just need to make this work to emulate our clients current set up so we can migrate them to v5.5. After installing Pervasive SQL v8.6 and getting the install keys from ProIV for Btrieve, we still get an error opening file for the Btrieve files. I think i remeber from way back that we had to put 2 or 3 DLL's into the System 32 directory. Does anyone know if that is the case, and if so, what are they?
