Anyone installed and converted from Version 8 to Version 9? If so, have you figured out how to use the Dashboard to configure propath, prodata, etc for development, test, runtime, etc?

Is this information not available from your a/c manager or PROIV support? I'd have thought they'd have been only too keen to help, seeing as the want us on 9 ASAP.
PS If you do find the answer, please post here for the rest of us who are still on 7/8.

This is for an MFC connection, I'm still trying to work out the Open Client connection.
It's best to create a New Configuration (bottom left of the Dashboard) rather than work with the base. Let's call the new configuration 'NEWCONFIG'.
Once you've made NEWCONFIG you'll see it in the ALL section on the left of the Dashboard. Click on it. You'll have one Profile, default. You should set all your own environment variables here in the Environment section of VIRTUAL MACHINE with the most general values. You can't re-order these, at least as far as I can see, so if you want them to be listed in alphabetical order, create them in that order. If you have one sso Library Path, set it in the Server Side Objects section.
Now create a new Profile by clicking the "white plus in blue square" icon. Let's call this 'DEV'. Copy it from 'default'. In the General section of VIRTUAL MACHINE, set Print Path if necessary; set Run Type if not the default value; set Terminal Type if not the default. In the Database section set PROPATH and PRODATA. Set any RDBMS values in the Oracle of SQL Server sections. Expand Logical Databases. Click SQLDEFAULT. Fill in the values as necessary. Amend the sso Library Path if necessary. Make changes to the environment variables if necessary. If you don't want to log on as PTI SYS, go to the Users section, expand User - you'll see Aurora. Click on User and you'll see a +New button in white on green. Click this. Add a new user, let's call it 'DEV'. Click on this in the list of users and set the Company Division and Operator ID So you're not logging on as PTI SYS.
Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
Go to Dashboard at the top left. Click DEPLOYMENTS. You should see entries in the list for NEWCONFIG-default and NEWCONFIG-DEV. Where going to use NEWCONFIG-DEV so toggle Virtual Machine 'on' for this Deployment.
In your MFC, go to Edit | Session Properties | General | Configuration.
Set PROIV User name to DEV,NEWCONFIG-DEV. The DEV before the comma is the user which sets the Co/Div and Operator ID.
You're good to go.
If you want to user a different PROPATH or PRODATA, you need to create a new Profile.
If you have any ID how to set up Open Client, I'd be interested in hearing from you.
