function genning query in version 6

Any ideas from members would be appreciated...
We're genning a list of functions in vip, and it gets held up at various places in the list, and just seems to stick on a particular function.
When we export the functions to our UAT environment, and gen the list, it works perfectly and we now have a list of genned functions (not including file defs).
Now, we re-import those function definitions back into our dev environment and they all gen perfectly, either singularly or in bulk.
All thoughts appreciated.
Thanks,
Max

Could the original list file be corrupted? ischk and even manually browse the affected section.

We've ischk'd everything, and no joy. Maybe it's using an .srt file at operation system level (unix).

Maybe, don't think they normally cause problems that aren't reported as pro-iv errors though. Manually browsing the list file might show something amiss even if ischk didn't find anything. Certainly I've seen errors in list/export files.
Export/Import might also have purged corrupted vip data for some functions.
