G'Day Rob,
I have a situation where the IDE is installed on a Sun Solaris machine that has several environments (1 DEV & several that are used for testing).
We are now looking to add a second dev environment using one of the test environments.
We are able to read and manipulate the PROIV code using IDE, but can't save it back. The message "Cannot Save Item, System is in Read Only mode" displays.
I had a quick peek for any obvious config files/options in the IDE tools panel, but can't see anything that looks appropriate.
Can you provide a solution?
Cheers,
Configure IDE for Read-Only or Read/Write Mode

Hi,
Check the value of the value variable &$IDE_READO, and change it ot N
If that value var is set to Y, then it makes IDE give you that message if you try to save.
Rob.
