I'm trying now for at least two weeks to get the "setupunix_3.0.74.bin.sh" running on my Intel based MacBook Pro,
but without any luck. It keeps on coming with the next message :

This application requires a Java Run Time Environment (JRE)
to run. Searching for one on your computer was not successful.
Please use the command line switch -is:javahome to specify
a valid JRE. For more help use the option -is:help.

When I try : ./setupunix_3.0.74.bin.sh -is:javahome /usr/bin/java

it still does not work, and I'm sure that java is available in this directory.

Is there somebody out there who can help me please? Maybe somebody from ProIV (Northgate)?

Thanks,

Jack

Try this:
./setupunix_3.0.74.bin.sh -is:javahome /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.4/Home
