On linking to www.proivrc.com from my home computer I'm getting a screen which suggests that the domain has expired. I'm (obviously!) still able to access it from my work computer.

This is presumably due to the domain records being propagated across the internet nameservers (or some cacheing somewhere).

So is the domain correctly registered, Rob? (and therefore my home pc should catch up). Or should I be worried that eventually I'll lose access from my work pc too?

Hi,

Don't worry.....

When I started this site years ago, I registered it with my robdon.com (if you remember that) email address.

I got rid of that domain and email about 6 months ago, however, this site was still registered with that email address, so they had been emailing me for weeks about the registration expiring, and on Friday they gave up and cancelled the domain.

It took until Sunday morning for the various DNS servers around the world to start failing with www.provirc.com, and Sunday morning I realised the problem.

Luckily, it was only the DNS entry, not the site (that with another company) that expired, and I just had to update things and give them some money to extend the domain.

I've since changed the contact details to my new Gmail addr... B)

Its just taking some time for the DNS servers to get the new registration info...

Should be ok in a day or 2...

Hurray it's back.

I was having withdrawal symptoms there for a moment.

(Note to self... must get out more!)

Thanks Rob.
