Can add some more that I have informed ProIV about:
1. If you have a piv file with the following toolbar buttons being shown ( Font larger/smaller):
kCustomToolBarCount=2
kCustomToolBarData=32003,32004
When we start the mfc as follows:
proiv.exe myPiv.piv -P SYS MDC I=P
The whole toolbar is displayed.
If you start proiv with no parameters then the open the piv directly this then updates that toolbar and displays the two button as we requested.
2.
We have put two settings into our proiv.ini file to set the icon and caption title.
[Settings]
ApplicationIconFile="path to me icon"
ApplicationTitle=My Application Title
When the MFC565 is started with
PROIV.EXE
or PROIV.EXE path_to_a_piv.piv
or PROIV.EXE path_to_a_piv.piv -P SYS PDS I=P
The title is not put into the proiv caption bar and the icon is not used.
3.
The ProIV.exe is not reading the Proiv.INI [Windows] section to display last window position.
Proiv.EXE is writing the last window position away into the proiv.ini upon terminating.
I have just found that there is a totaly new section in the registry under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PROIV Technology, Inc.\PROIV Windows Client
It looks like this is now where all the old proiv.ini is being stored.
I have reqested where I can get the lastest mfc 5.6.5 documentation but have not heard from them yet.
Hope this helps anybody who has fallen foul of this enhanced feature
Regards - Sean

Also a problem on the new client:
disble or hide a button from a radio group with
TestRadio.Button("Option2").Visible = False
and all input fields in that same cycle will dissappear one by one from the screen after pressing ENTER on those fields.
this one stopped us from looking further at this release, we have to keep to an older version of the client (and therefore we cannot use the new kernel, as they are not backwards compatible)
