We are running SQL Server. This issue is on P4 5.5. We have a function which is called after a timeout from @TIMEOUT. A SQL rollback is issued in that function but record locks are not being released on tables. Has anyone run into this before? Thanks.

Hello All,
We currently run our app on Windows Server and SQL Server. I am looking for feedback on how the Linux/Free SQL installations are going. I am debating on adding the platform. We are quite happy with SQL Server but are looking at serving the low end by dropping the cost to the end user. In the past, I heard that SQL Server performance bested the free SQL offerings by a considerable margin. Another question I would have is availability and cost of support. We sell our app nationally and would need on site third party support for our customers as we do for our Windows installations. Pro/Cons? Thanks.

We are going to code for the new version 6 locking mechanism and were wondering if anyone had already done this and knew the issues which will be raised. We are using SQL Server. Thanks.

Hello All,
We are having problems with the 6.2.35 client. We were running 6.2.27 client and kernel without any major issues but with 6.2.35 we are getting thread exceptions. We cannot pin down yet if it is a kernel or client problem. Lew |
