We have developed a pre-gen check routine that validates the sanity of your code prior to the actual compile. It hooks in the the stub functions that come with Developer. It checks everything, from unassigned/redundant variables to the validity of your SQL statements. If I do say so myself it is a fantastic utility. It is also completely configurable. It has allowed us to develop a lot quicker and has caught bugs in our code that have been there for years, as well as allowing us to write new code that is pretty much right first time.
We will be releasing it soon with documentation. This works against the PROIV Developer (VIP) bootstraps - sorry - no native. Look forward to the day when PROIV will gen straight from the Developer bootstraps.
Would anyone be interested in working with us on a PROIV tutorial. As well as co-authors we would also need translators as it would be cool to have it in several languages (english, spanish, Chinese etc.)
