There is no direct way to read the proprietary ProISAM file outside of ProIV (afaik). Indirectly you would need an ODBC driver (as Joseph indicates above), or Bus & Tasks or export (I use the word loosely) the file first from within ProIV.

Hi,
If you really wanted to do things outside ProIV yourself, you could hack the include file fsprisam.o and use piopen(), piread() etc to read ProISAM files in your own code....
Obviously, this is totally unsupported
