Does anyone know what variable defines the directory that reports will print to when using the "print to file" option on Linux version 5.5 r543?

Under SCO Unix, it just prints to the PRODATA directory but on my Linux installation it keeps going to the current working directory.

I have set PRODATA, PROIVDEFAULT, PROPATH and PROIVTEMP but the files created from the report functions keep going to the current working directory.

Thank-you,
Cathy

FYI.....(from Milo @ proivsupport)....

"This is a known issue on Linux systems. The Linux system calls handle temporary directories differently than other UNIX systems, causing the PROIV environment settings to be ignored. Because of this difference all temporary files are created in the ‘current working directory’.

The only workaround is to make the ‘current working directory’ the directory name of where the reports should be written. Unfortunately, changing the ‘current working directory’ may have other unwanted side effects, depending upon the PROIV application running. The ‘current working directory’ can only be set prior to starting the ‘pro’ executable. It cannot be changed after ‘pro’ has started.

PROIV Development has a proposed fix submitted for this issue but is currently not available in a 5.5 Linux release. The fix name is: “L083 sort files on Linux not created in PROTEMP”. It should be available in the next 5.5 maintenance release. The fix will require the PROIV environment variable PROTEMP and the Linux system variable TMPDIR to point to the same directory. I don’t have a scheduled date for the next 5.5 maintenance release."
