Hi all
Urgent Urgent
I have a production server running very well since 1999 with the following items
- Suse linux 6.2
- Pro iv Release 3.x
- Linux iBCS
I plan to change server to IBM Xseries so whe have two options
1- Upgrating to pro iv release 5.5 Cost a lot of money
2 - Using pro iv release 3.x with linux abi (iBCS for kernel 2.4) Seem to work with our tests
Could somebody tell us any experience on one of the two points ?
The point 2 is the best in term of cost but is it safe ?
Thank in advance

Hi,
If you reinstall ProIV on the new server, you will need new license keys wont you??
I would think that its not possible to get new keys for version 3.0... but I could be wrong.
If you want to continue developing your application then I would suggest going to 5.5... if not, then staying with what is stable is probably the best bet as long as you can sort out the license key problem.
