I don't know about replacing VIP with something not in PROIV but they now write VIP with VIP according to PROIV. It would make sense to gen directly from VIP rather than via the existing bootstraps.
My thinking is that the next logical step would be to merge PROIV with Concerto to provide a much better web product.
FYI they have recently moved all the development from the States to galactic HQ (Hemel Hempstead).
So they now have both PROIV and Concerto development under the same roof.
Look at what is happening within Northgate's HRS division. The company has tripled in size by buying one of their major competitors. The strategic direction is to go with Resourcelink, which I think is a PROIV & concerto system. This could result in another 1/2/3000 PROIV sites??? Would this be good for PROIV, how do you think it will impact on the support???

PROIV do not have at this current time any plans to develop another new
development tool for PROIV (or any other language) in any technology.
We are commited to VIP as our tool for development of PROIV
applications; our end of life strategy for Native, SuperLayer and Developer
Studio remains unchanged.

Hi,
EOL for native was this September.
However, that doesnt mean you cant still develop in it.
I just means that ProIV LTD will not 'support' you using @MOD etc.
However, since VIP still writes to the Native Bootstraps and the kernel still runs off the Native boots, there should be no problem using Native.
As the poll on the front of this site suggests, not that many people have converted to VIP. Currently the poll says that there is only 24% of people on VIP.
