PROIV Service Manager Failing after Windows Update

21 September 2010 - 01:39 PM

PROIV Support are aware that a recent Microsoft update namely KB982802 has caused an issue with the operation of the PROADMIN facility. The following message is displayed "Trouble in server connection. Server error code :Code 1734(winerror.h)". To our knowledge the correct function of the PROIV virtual machine is unaffected.

We currently do not have any workaround for this problem apart from not installing the Microsoft update. We are urgently working on a solution and we will keep you informed on progress both in this forum and on the PROIV Website.

Regards

James

PROIV Version 6 - Version Numbers

25 August 2006 - 10:56 AM

All,

I thought it would be useful to post how we intend to identify releases of PROIV Version 6 and onwards; the following is taken from the V6 release notes - but I thought I'd post it here just in case ;) :D :D :D

james
PROIV Development Manager

PROIV Version 6 and its constituent components are identified by a four part version number of the form a.b.c.d these numbers are defined as follows:

a - the major version number (this will be 6)

b - the minor version number - this will be 0 until the next minor release at which point it will be incremented

c - the release number - every time a maintenance release is made this number will be greater than the preceding release; there is no guarantee that it will be the next sequential number

d - the build number – in all official maintenance releases this number will be 0 (zero), if this number is not 0 then the software your are using is classified as an intermediate maintenance release and should only be used under the direction of PROIV Support - you should always upgrade to an official maintenance release when it becomes available. Reporting faults against an intermediate release when a later maintenance release is available will result in you being requested to verify the behavior on the later release.

As an example; a version number of 6.0.51.3; signifies the third build of release 51.

A maintenance release is classified as a release with a version number whose components have a higher major, minor or release number. As an example 6.0.66.0 is a higher release than 6.0.55.0, just as 6.1.30.0 is higher than both; all three are classified as maintenance releases of the PROIV Version 6 product.
