I am running Pro-IV version 5.5 with SQL Server 2000. In my SQL SERVER 2000 I have created a LINKED SERVER to a SQL SERVER 2008 database.
I have created a query in my SQL SERVER 2000 database that addresses a table via the LINKED SERVER in the SQL 2008 database.
View SSUSRQRY:
SELECT UserIdExternal AS SSUSERIDEXTERNALQRY, UserId AS SSUSERIDQRY
FROM [DEV01\SCTSR].SQLSERVER_08_DB.dbo.tblUser tblUser_1
When I run the query in Enterprise Manager, it returns all the rows in the table with no problems.
Pro-IV SQL:
SQL
SELECT SSUSERIDEXTERNALQRY, SSUSERIDQRY FROM SSUSRQRY
WHERE SSUSERIDEXTERNALQRY = :$APTTHER
ENDSQL
When I try to run the query via a Pro4 SQL STATEMENT I get the following error:
You cannot specify scroll locking on a cursor that contains a remote table.[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server] Driver][SQL Server]Statement(s) could not be prepared.

Anyone know how to send xml from pro-iv to a web service running in a third party application on the client machine. I am working on some pro-iv functions that need to interact with an e-proscription software via the web service.

Webclient 3 Dropping screen elements
12 May 2005 - 05:28 PM
I was wondering if anyone else is haveing the same problem with webclient 3 that I am having:
Some controls such as buttons and icons do not display on screens when using webclient. The problem is not with all controls because some of the buttons and some of the icons appear and other don't.
When viewed through the regular proi-iv client this doesn't happen. All controls appear as normal

Hey can anyone tell me how to populate a combobox from an array? <_< I know VIP has the option of a cycle that is supposed to read from an array, but i can't seem to make it work... All i get is the first element of the array. I am hoping someone who has made this work can help me out.
Comma delimited reports
12 April 2004 - 08:59 PM
Hi I am using the send to coma delimited option in ver 5.5 reports in VIP. However when you do that Pro-IV ignores headers/footers and control breaks. Anybody know an EZ way to add column headers and total lines?
