@RPTOPT Timing for Global Reports

06 July 2007 - 08:09 PM

We would like to set the report destination in the Def Logic of LS1 of a Global Report. (We usually do this for non-globals in the function logic in). Apparently this is too late in the cycle to do it for a Global Report. How can we work within the timing cycle to make this happens without having to use two global func calls (one to the global window to select the destination, a second to the global report) in every function which we would like to print a global report from?

Do we need to change our strategy?

Thanks,
Caleb

Setting focus on the ActiveX control

22 August 2006 - 01:50 AM

If I use the Grid or Tree control, how do I actually set the focus on the control without using the mouse to click in it first? The control will display but I haven't found a way to transfer to it without using the mouse. We have some keyboard-lovers that detest having to use the mouse as they find the keyboard faster.

I tried setting the control as both a format object and a field object but either way I'm still clicking on it to be able to navigate around inside it with the keyboard.

Finding the Graphics Folder

16 August 2006 - 08:07 PM

I am using the ProIV ActiveX tree control and I have to specify a graphics folder for the control. I am wondering how I can retrieve the graphics cache folder from the client's PIV (the B line) so that I don't have to hard-code the folder in ProIV.

checkbox column width

04 August 2006 - 03:42 PM

I have a paging area with smooth mode on and the nice grey column headers. Is there any way to force a column with checkboxes in it to be wider than one character? So that we can put a proper name in the column header?

I have tried fiddling with the width settings but to no avail. Also if this is possible we would prefer to have the checkbox centered in the column.

passing keystrokes to the ActiveX control

03 July 2006 - 09:25 PM

I notice that in my ActiveX control that common Windows keystrokes like Ctrl+V and the Delete key are not working. If I right click in my control (an html editor) I am able to paste from the Context menu which indicates that the Ctrl+V isn't getting to the control.

Has anyone else seen this and resolved it? Any help or diagnostic advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Caleb
