Only a couple of months after reading Terry Allen's email regarding him joining PROIV Inc. I now hear he's departed - he only lasted 3 months - that must be a record.

Also, just for fun, check out the search option on Myproiv.com - it takes you into Scott Trodicks personal page where he has love letters and odes to his girlfriend. Looks like the same QA team work on the web site as on the product!!!

Boy, I tell you.....

It is one thing to have a hard-on for a company and choose to slam them.

It's another to stand up and USE YOUR NAME WHEN DOING SO. What kind of chicken__it jerk are you?

Log in under you OWN NAME or be silent, moron!

I agree with the comment about the website , it's a bit
unprofessional to be linking into personal sites.
As for the other comment there has been alot of hard work put into the new Ver 5 from what I have seen and comments like that about ex-employees & pro-iv inc are not really constructive.

It's amazing how quickly word spreads...

Yes, it's true, I am no longer employed by PRO IV. I haven't decided what (if anything) I'll be relaying to the forum members regarding my resignation, suffice to say that I'm disappointed I won't be able to continue to effect the types of changes I'd envisioned as an internal member of PRO IV, but 'them's the breaks'.

I haven't ruled out the possibility of working with PRO IV as PRO RAD, but we'll have to see what (if anything) eventuates there.

As to the 'Anonymous Poster', I have to say that I would have appreciated it if you'd had the courtesy to speak to me before posting your message.

Whilst it is true that I don't work for PRO IV anymore, I am still very much involved in the community and only want to see it continue, stronger and better.

Postings such as yours are fine if you have the balls to let people know who you are. I was (and will always be) willing to stand up and be counted, are you ???

Cheers,

I thought that this was a serious site for PROIV professionals !!

If it is to be a gossip/slagging forum I will have to reconsider posting here.

Rob what about some vetting/moderation of content that is not of value to the participants?

What is it you don't like?

The first part is about Terry Allen and seems to be true.

As for the 'search' link on the myproiv site, well, If I had that on my site and someone spotted it then it would be my fault and I would take the hint and change it.

As for the QA on the product... I really dont think you want to get me going on that one... However, you guys now have your chance to prove we are all wrong with the release of 4.7/5.0/VIP.

I really do not want to 'Moderate' the site as this will annoy a lot of people and who's to say that what I think as 'wrong' should be removed (Also quite a bit of time needed on my side for this). The only things I will remove is copyrighted material once someone complains that it should not be there (I cannot know what is copyrighted and not).

As for the 'Anonymous' posters, one of the reasons that the internal PROIV forum is not used is because people are forced to register. If people want to remain Anonymous then that is fine with me. If employees/users do not want to be seen saying things because they are worried what their company will say, then if I force people to login and show their name they will just simply not post the information they have and people will not find out about things.

I do not want everyone posting as anonymous but if the information might cause them a problem at their workplace then I think that they should be allowed their privacy.

Maybe I am wrong... so if people think that this site should be monitored/vetted and people made to login, please post below this post.

I think that the majority of this forum is VERY informative and helpfull to the PROIV world, just a few posts have been a bit 'slaggy', of which I have been on the receiving end of also.

Rob

Well said.

This is an open discussion group for people that are 'passionate' about PROIV.

I don't know about the rest of you but I find many of the comments quite amusing.

Do we want Rob to take the fun out of PROIVRC by moderating it ?

BTW Rob - thanks for taking off those pictures of my wife.

Rob,

Your approach is the correct one. Leave things as they are. People participate in the forum for their own benefit and that of other particpants, and can weed out any useless chatter.

1) Cheers to Rob for standing up for free speech. I think seeing the kind of response we've seen will discourage Mr. Anonymous and his kind from posting crap to the site.

2) Good luck, Terry. Didn't get a chance to get to know
you well, but you seem like a good person and a professional.

3) Mr. Anonymous, if you want to play games, I'll play. But have the brass ones to stand by what you say. Put up, or shut up!

I agree with you Rob - freedom of speech is key.

If Mr. AnnoyingMouse is worried about his position, then let him speak.

Good luck Terry - remember, PROIV programmers never die - they eventually get regenned!

Please do not mis-understand me:
1. There is certainly a time, a place, and even a NEED for CONSTRUCTIVE anonymous input and critque.
2. There is ALWAYS a place for sarcasm and pointed references to pratfalls and mistakes IF you are willing to stand up and be the next target for scrutiny.
3. I beleive in Responsible free speech.

I took great umbrance at the snide and pointless slams that could have been address in a more professional manner.

To that end, I appologize to the group for not taking the time to be a bit more professional in my first response.

Also, to any that send me an email, I will forward a picture of Peter Davies Wife!

For those of you who missed it here is a picture of Peter's wife. Quick, get a look before Rob removes it.

Lighten up about the professionalism and just try to laugh now and again.

Sorry Peter, Rob and everybody else.

mmm? 'PROIVuser' and 'PROIVemployee' may be the same person?
Why would a PROIV employee rag on QA like that?
I feel PROIV is tested wonderfully compared to other software companies out there.
