Good day Fellow Developers!

 

I just want to know if anyone knows if Pro-IV Kernel 4.6 will work properly on AIX 7.x.

 

We are refreshing our Chess servers with new machines that has unsupported AIX 5.3 environment.

 

Any comments are appreciated.

And also, maybe you can comment if Oracle 11g or 12c will work on Pro-IV Kernel 4.6.

To my knowledge PROIV 4.6 will run on AIX Version 7 as the latter is backward compatible with AIX 5.3. With regard to Oracle PROIV did not change the interface until PROIV version 8. We are running PROIV 7.1 in production against Oracle 11g without any issues on a Linux Redhat (64 bit) installation.
