Hi there,

We are running ProIV 7.1 with the MFC Client.

We need a solution where we can launch or embed some type of rich text editor in our ProIV applications. We need to store formatted text for items in our Item Master table that will be displayed on our website and printed to pricing lists. Ideally the text will be saved in HTML format. Ideally we want the text stored in our SQL database but if this is not possible then stored as a text file in a folder is OK too.

Does anyone have this type of solution that works with ProIV?

Hi Ross

ProIV wrote an ActiveX control for us that will probably work well for you. It behaves like a simple notepad text area.

We save to a Pro isam file but I'm confident they could modify it to your spec.

I'll give Michelle a call to see if it will meet our needs. We need it to bold, number, colour, etc.; does it do that?

Our version was plain text. No frills.

They can likely add those extras.

Have you looked at the RTF Demo ActiveX? It didnt suit our needs bc it saves to the local drive.
