Ross Bevin states he sees a 30-50% performance decrease when using SQL Server 2005 instead of 2000. Unfortunately PROIV 6.2 only supports SQL Server 2005 and 2008. Does anyone have any performance comparisons between SQL Server 2005 and 2008? Ross narrowed the problem down to SQL Server 2005 not running in queries in parallel as is done in 2000 - only in series.
