Does anyone know how I can automatically print an image (.tif, .gif, etc.) using a client system call. I have been able to execute paint and pass it an image and have it display on the screen, which I can then print, but I would like to do this automatically. Ideally, I would like to print the image on the clients default printer.

Any help would be appriciated,
George.

I did a project once using xslt to create an html report from pro-iv and then printed it using mshtml.dll.. if you can point to your graphic with an html file this should work.. the only problem is that it pulls up the printer dialog box first....

The command is

rundll32.exe C:WINDOWSSystemmshtml.dll,PrintHTML '%1'

where %1 is the full path to your file

i got this information off http://www.robvander....com/index.html

Hope this helps

Thanks Bryan! That helped a lot. Just to let you know I went to the web address that you referenced and found another version of that batch file which eliminated having to open the print dialog box.

Bryan,

Here is the URL: http://www.robvander...printfiles.html

I am currently trying to get it to work using kix but have had no success yet. I will keep you posted on the progress.

Once again, thank you for your lead.

George.

Bryan,

Have you had much luck using kix? I have not.

I am also having problems printing any images other than bimaps. What image format do you use? I would like to get TIFF images to work. I have also tried JPEG and GIF with no luck.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
George.

I haven't had a chance to play with it yet George... I'll probably get to it this next weekend sometime... sorry I can't help you more with it...
