Hello

Does anyone know if there is the possibility to install a proIV client on the new Intel Duo Core
based Mac Book Pro. Can I maybe use the webclient for Linux?

Thanks,

Jack

Jschuurkes,

I don't know about the GUI Client.

In theory, if the Mac has active X, you should be able to run the Web client.

hth,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

I will give it a try.

Thanks,

Jack

I'm trying now for at leat two weeks to get the setupunix_3.0.74.bin.sh running on my Intel based MacBook Pro,
but without any luck. It keeps on coming with the next message :

This application requires a Java Run Time Environment (JRE)
to run. Searching for one on your computer was not successful.
Please use the command line switch -is:javahome to specify
a valid JRE. For more help use the option -is:help.

When I try : ./setupunix_3.0.74.bin.sh -is:javahome /usr/bin/java

it still does not work, and I'm sure that java is available in this directory.

Is there somebody out there who can help me please? Maybe somebody from ProIV (Northgate)?

Thanks,

Jack

Hi ..

Download JRE Update 5

I downloaded JRE(5) http://java.sun.com/...loads/index.jsp
(I am not sure if this JRE(5) is compliant to Mac machine else search for Mac' jre)
copy jre(5) folder to /usr/local/bin

JRE1.4 is deprecated for PROIV 6 webclient.

Then install WEBCLIENT.I hope this works for you too.I have done this on various server and they work.

Regards,
Matthews Estrice,
