Hi

I'm having difficulty installing v5.6.8.0 client on an XP machine.

Keep getting 'Error 1406. Could not write value to key ...... Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.' Clicking 'Ignore' just brings up more errors .....

I have tried uninstalling previous versions of the client and have just formatted hdd and re-loaded XP but still no joy.

Just wondered if anybody else has experienced this and if so how did they fix it??

Regards

Jason

Problem solved......

ProIV 5.6.8.0 was trying to install an older version of Flash than was installed on my PC. Ran the following command to uninstall Flash:

c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\uninstF1.exe

Installed ProIV 5.6.8.0 with zero errors.

Went to a web site that a knew was running the latest version of Flash, which updated my PC again and ProIV still running okay.

Thought I'd post the resolution incase it was useful to anyone else.

Regards

Jason

You might like to know that there is a problem with some versions of Flash when logged on as a restricted user. You might want to read this TechNote on the Adobe/Macromedia web site.
