Hi,
I have a problem with 5.5 and oracle 10g r1,
seldom when i execute a function "update" not screen return me after 1 minute or 60 minute it's random this error :

The hardware situation :
There are two different server the first IBM Application Server and the second IBM Data Base Server.
All the connection from PRO-IV and Oracle are the best (Ethernet 1gb on Switch Cisco).
Are there same settings to connection pro-iv with oracle ?

Usually i used this :
SQL_PASSWORD
SQL_USERNAME
SQL_DATE_FORMAT=DD-MMM-YY
SQL_DBTYPE=ORACLE
ORACLE_HOME=/u01/oracle/product/10.1.0/db
SQL_AGGREGATE_KEY=10
SQL_DBNAME=

In pro4.ini file?Are there someone?

I ran into a similar error with SQl server once

You may have a short timeout setting, and incresing it may assist.

Where it is on Oracle, I do not know
