I am looking to hire 1 PROIV developer in the next two to three months, could be earlier. Anyone interested, please let me know. Should have at least 2 years of solid PROIV development with the ability to learn fast. Email resumes with expected salary and current location to dm652000-proiv@yahoo.com.

Yo D,
You stated:
Yet you started off this posting with:
Which is it?
Do I need to send my CV to the development manager who isn't doing the hiring, or should I send it to you...the person doing the hiring without receiving any CV's?

...and no, it is not a contractor, but the development manager of the company.

Confused,
Are you a programmer? If you are, you don't seem to be very analytical. You could not deduce that I might be the development manager? In any case, anyone who is interested, please shoot me an email. We will take it from there, others, please don't waste my time.

I don't condone the rudeness but what you need to realise is that there are a whole group of unscrupulous people out there who pretend to be looking for staff to encourage people to send in a c.v. In some cases these have been agents looking to obtain details to put forward to other clients; in other cases there have been instances of fraud and identity theft.
All developers need to a be aware of this. Also, anyone looking to solicit applications needs to provide some sort of "provable identity". A vague location and "disposable" email address is not a great indication of a real job.
"D" well may well be a real person, and the job may exist. Or he may be some sort of scam artist... how are we to know?
If anyone wants to come to this forum then they should at least put together a "work" email address (even if it is not their personal address), and give some information so they can be checked out.
