A last question..
What are the issues if we Developer with PRO-IV 4.0
and run the applications with Client/Server with 5.0???

Dan,

Are you sure you need to change the external formats?

It's not that I doubt you and maybe ProIV told you so (!) but it OUGHT to be completely irrelevant as far as the ORANUM type is concerned.

Did you actually experience problems unless the formats were set S20.20 because if so I'd better alert some people to the fact ;)

But Richard, you try use PRO-IV with 9.2???
If you try, You dont find the problem with decimal number..
If I understand You, no problems with necimal number will
occurs if you use ORANUM.. problems will occur if you use NUMBER externam format..

Sorry If I dont understand you.. My English dont is very good
