Can I send a PROIV report to both CRT and LPx at the same time?

I actually wants to send it to both CRT and a physical file.

Hi,

I dont think you can send it to 2 different devices directly, but you could use @RPTOPT and call the report twice, setting @RPTOPT firstly for CRT and then for FILE...

Good idea. I'll try.

I am now having a another difficulty though. Actually I am writing an auto-email process for Sales Acknowledgement.

I.e., Upon SO entry, system will email an SO Ack to the customer.

So, the chain of process is:

SO entry Screen (S) --> SO Ack reprot (R, save it to a file for later email attachment) ---> email process in Unix (U) ---> link back to SO entry Screen.

Now, user wants to VIEW the Ack before decides to email or not. Therefore, I need to send the Ack to both CRT for user's review and to a file for email and then a confirmation screen.

SO entry Screen (S) --> SO Ack report (R, send it to CRT) --> SO Ack report (R, send it ot file) --??? but now a R type function cannot link to a window (WI, WD) for confirmation...... to complete the loop.

What options do I have now?

Hi Vol!

I would think that you do not need to link the report to a Window; you can confirm thru a Screen (from where you could actually email the report thru Unix) and then link back to the SO entry screen. Any special requirement when linking back?

You are right. I shall see writing the confirmation with screen and link it back to SO entry......
