I was wondering if anyone is aware of how to bring up a window to chose a file on the local client, and then pass back the location of the file?

Could it be done with a system call? I have used system calls to compose email messages and pass the address and so forth before.

It seems like I can use an ActiveX Microsoft Common Dialog Box in VIP. But I am having trouble getting it to work.

Milad,

One of the ProIV 5.5 sample functions does just that. I'd suggest just "borrowing" that function.
