On setup I selected SQL SERVER as the default db. I have a DNS setup of one of the databases I have created. I am able to access this db via PRO-IV. However, I need to access another SQL SERVER db at the same time withing the same application. How is this done?
Thank you.

you can define different Logical Databases in the proiv.ini file so long as they are
available via at least odbc. Search this site or the P4 manuals for more info

Also, remember to be clear about whether you need coordinated transaction processing (ie. two-phase commit).
I don't know if you can get that with SQL/Server and ProIV.
Nothing's as simple as you think

Thank you. The change to the CONNECTION string seems to do the trick.
(from)
[DATABASE - SQL2000B]
FILETYPE=SQLSERVE
PRODB_CHARSET=7
CONNECTION=usr1/password

(to)
[DATABASE - SQL2000B]
FILETYPE=SQLSERVE
PRODB_CHARSET=7
CONNECTION=usr1/password/SQL200B
