G'Day People,
I was hoping that someone may be able to give me some idea of when Oracle 9i will be available for Alpha Tru64 with either PRO-IV 5.0 or 5.5. According to PRO-IV's Supported Platforms table, it is 'to be advised', which gives me some hope that it may be soon.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Shaun

In fact it's more confusing than I thought - we're using 64-bit Oracle 9.2.0.1.0 (and may move to 9.2.0.2.0 to take advantage of the patch sets available) and the 32-bit PRO-IV kernel, which has specific contraindications in the small print of the matrix on the proiv site - but they STILL said they'd support us...
And the good news is that it definitely works, once you've managed to get the kernel linkage stuff to work...

G'Day Dan,
Thanks for the reply. I'd already opened the 'official' channels, but I thought I'd ask for any independent information.
One other question. Is the support you're receiving 'it's not really released, but we'll support you anyway' or 'it's official, we just haven't got around to updating the matrix yet' ? The reason I ask, is that our application now has a skeleton staff, and with the lack of direct PRO-IV Ltd support in Australia, we would be loath to put ourselves into a Beta site situation. Once again, this is a question for PRO-IV Ltd, but I thought I'd ask for the question from the other end also.
Regards
Shaun
