Dear friends,
Hi !!

I wanted to send the data extract file to some folder. I am having PRO iv 5.5 and oracle. I have to execute the SQL query from Pro IV and export the result set in to text file. I know how to execute the Sql query or stored procedure from Pro 4 to Oracle. I wanted the best practice in pro 4 to execute stored procedure and export the data to file.
Please help me.
Thanx & Regards

I would use DDEs which can enable you to write to HTML,Word Document and TEXT FILE.

Ajay,

What we've done is to use shell command (#STAT = SYSTEM('dosql sqlscript')) to execute stored procedures. Although this solution works, I am somewhat concerned about the lack of elegance involved with it.

Ultimately, I would like to be able to execute any sql command from within ProIV.

hth,

Joseph
