I've not used these for a while (1 while = 9 years).

@OFFSET is used to read the position of a cursor in the field.

I recall doing a demo screen in green screen that was basically a block of fields with ENABLE(&#@EMODE) and @XOFSET = @OFFSET in the Before Field logics. It let you move the cursor up and down as in a word processor.

I'm too busy to see if it still works in 4.6!

That would be true Brian if the terminals here weren't so old, that they have no Home or End keys.
