Hi,

I don't use pro-iv that much so here goes what I think is an easy question (thanks for your patience in advance): how do I print a total in the last page of a report? So if my report is 25 pages long I want to print the total in the 25th page and not in any of the other pages.

My suspition is that it's on the very last option, 'SPOOLER OPTIONS' but am clueless really...

My environment is AIX Version 4 if that makes any difference.

Eire,

Option 1) You have to use a Control Break of &$EOF and VT (vertical totals) on your fields to do this.
Option 2) Track the totals manually and use an LSCALL to trigger a new format ID.

I would go with option 1 where ever it works.

Thanks Bove, how would I go about option 1? I've put a logic like this on the last field

002	IF &$EOF THEN			   
003	   $SPP-TOTAL = CONV(#SPP-TOTAL)		   
004	ENDIF

and flaged the VT filed with 'Y' but get this error

145 - VERTICAL TOTALING SPECIFIED FOR ALPHA FIELD - FLD#: 011

In your LS you flag numeric fields as VT, then add a control break for &$EOF in which you would give a description of Report Total or something similiar. In the Control Break you would also flag VT as yes. This is the easiest way of doing it
