What actually goes wrong is
using UMSG statements I can see this:
1- the global function reads a file and has data.
2- that data is not passed back to the global logic.

Thanks - 'one' last question and I'll leave you in peace.
This data being 'passed back':
What VARIABLE type(s) is it in, meaning:
1a/ Is it string, short numeric or long numeric AND
1b/ Are they scratch vars, file vars or system vars?
2/ What PARAMETER type(s) (I, O, B or E) are you using?
3/ Are any of the variables actually arrays?
