So, how did you come to be named after a hospital then. Did the fill in the wrong box on the birth certificate? Very unfortunate!

Rgds,

It's not as if there's that many Pro-IV sites looking for people, but it's starting to look like it's a bit more of a seller's market for once! Anyone want to work in Karlskrona? The town even has a bar! :)

Certainly several interesting opportunities going around. Some of the less usual suspects too.
You could always contact our new recruitment girl, sally@carrerasystems.co.uk, to find out more (we won't publish rates on www.proivrc.com - so don't ask us too!)

What would be the average rate for a PRO-IV contract / what would be good and what would be bad / unacceptable.

Isn't it funny how people, such as Rob Stubbens, who have been charged with finding the best programmer for the client are only looking for the best person they already know? :p

Whose interest are you being paid to look out for? Aren't you suppose to be working in your clients best interest and find the person with the best ProIV knowledge for your client instead of looking for old buddies to go out and have a few pints with after or during work? (w00t)

It's a shame that companies entrust self-serving people such as you to help them out, Rob. The most you can give your client is someone who can never be considered more than ADEQUATE because he did not prove himself to be the BEST programmer for your client...only to you and your purse. :-"

Why don't you stop worrying about yourself, Rob, DO YOUR JOB , and start looking for the best ProIV programmer available that can get the job done, instead of worrying about getting your palms greased. <_<

Welcome to the world of ProIV contracting, NewComer, where nowadays you will not get next job by your talents, but by the people you know...sad but true. :p

It's becoming more and more common, those who are "Charged with finding the best programmer", to only look as far as thier own address book...so get use to this sick fact. (w00t)

I'd be careful not to alienate yourself, though, for the ProIV world is just getting smaller and you don't want to burn any bridges before you get to high ground.

I strongly doubt it's just the Pro-IV world where it's who you know that counts - I think it's called the Real World!

Suprised that agents are self-serving?
Here, there's a bridge in San Fransisco I went to sell you!
