Dear list,
We are investigating using BLOBs (binary large objects) to replace some of our legacy tables. The legacy tables we have are very much like logic.pro - tables of text where each line is a record in the database. In doing some research, it appears that BLOBs would definitely add more flexibility to our applications, and be a "cleaner" database construct than these legacy tables.
Has anyone implemented BLOBs within their ProIV Application yet?
If so, what types of BLOBS are you using - images, Microsoft Word, HTML, etc?
How much work was it to implement?
and finally, Are there any pitfalls to look out for?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
