We have some functions coded in Oracle packages that we would like to call from Pro-IV. I am the Oracle guy, so I have no clue how to have these called from Pro-IV.

In Oracle it would just be as simple as

select key_columns, package_name.func_name( column_args )
from table
where limit_field = some_value

Is there a way to code this in Pro-IV and have the same / expected results?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Layne

(Pro-IV version 4.1 build 119 if the answer is version specific.)

You should be able to use any SQL statement directly in PRO-IV by encoding it in a block of logic like so:

SQL
select key_columns, package_name.func_name( column_args )
from table
where limit_field = some_value
ENDSQL

PRO-IV will do the select into a table and you'd need to have a PRO-IV file def equipped to interpret the resulting columns and data types that are returned by the SELECT statement.
